Space Utilization for Stations: Agent Allotments

For instances wherein carriers configure Cargospot for space reserved for Station bookings, an agent allocation can also be created at the station. This space becomes a subset of the space reserved for the station and it is reserved for the agent for CA bookings. When this feature is enabled, the Flight Capacity at the station is replaced by the space reserved for the station containing the agent.

This functionality is configured by the [awb] availStation parameter in the program.ini.

The following scenario illustrates this functionality.

  • Flight XS037M 05APR15 LHR-MNL with total flight capacity of 120,000 kg weight and 380 volume.

  • Station Allotment LHRMNSTAVLY of 5,000 kg weight and 50 volume for MAN station.

In the following screen capture, a user creates an agent allocation in the same station as the station allotment; Agent Allotment LHRMNLAGTSTN of 1,000 kg weight and 10 volume for Agent 2347061-5820 of MAN station.

Total space available at MAN is 5,000 kg /50 mc. From this available space, 1,000 kg/10 mc is reserved for the Cargo Allocation (CA) for the agent at the MAN station.

  • At MAN, the Agent allotment displayed at Station, and the flight capacity displayed are the same as the capacity reserved for the station allotment.
  • CA allocation is reserved against Agent allocation at MAN.
  • Free sales booking at MAN station is displayed as KK.

  • At LHR, the availability is displayed below. The Station allotment is displayed, which includes the agent allotment at station.
  • Agent allotment is not displayed at LHR, as it is at MAN, and is a subset of the station allotment at MAN.

Important: Space utilization by the stations for free sales is not the default behavior. When [awb] availStation is set to N, the flight capacity is as is and not limited to the allotment for the station and agent.
