Split Allotments

For multi-leg flights, there are instances where the business requires different allotments depending on the segments.

The following example shows the flight LHR-AMS-MNL (Flights tab of Master Data > Flight Schedule) with a maximum booking availability of 10,000 kg for each leg.

Figure: LHR-AMS-MNL as viewed in Flights tab of Master Data > Flight Schedule

  • Allotment at MAN for LHR-MNL with 4,000 kg weight and 40 volume

  • Allotment at MAN for LHR-AMS with 6,000 kg weight and 60 volume

Users logged on at MAN station can view the availability as:
  • LHR-MNL leg shows 4,000 kg

  • LHR-AMS leg shows 6,000 kg

Users logged on at AMS station can view the availability as:
  • AMS-MNL leg shows 6,000 kg (which is 10,000 kg available minus the 4,000 kg for the LHR–MNL leg)

Important: Space utilization by the stations for free sales is not the default behavior. When [awb] availStation is set to N, the flight capacity is as is and not limited to the allotment for the station. The above example shows the behavior of the system when [awb] availStation is set to Y.
