ASM Processing

The Ad hoc Schedule Message or ASM is processed by Cargospot to create or update a flight record for a single flight or date, without there being a parent schedule.

ASMs are received when the departure date of the flight is much more imminent and usually not more than one month in advance. However, this is depending on user preference and internal business rules. Similar to SSMs, ASMs can be used to create and update existing flight records relating to a single flight/date.

Received ASMs can be viewed in Main > Messages Queue.

The following ASM sub-types are processed by the system to create new flight records or update existing ones:
  • NEW - Creation of new flight record
  • EQT - Change of equipment details
  • RPL - Replacement of existing flight information
  • TIM - Change of time information
  • CNL - Cancellation
  • RIN - Reinstate previously canceled flight
  • FLT - Change of flight designator or flight identifier
