ASM NEW

ASM NEW sub-types are processed by the system to create flight records. ASMs can be either in local time mode (LT) or in UTC mode (Coordinated Universal Time).

Each ASM can contain the following flight schedule details:
  • Carrier code
  • Flight number
  • Flight date
  • Aircraft type
  • Service Type
  • Flight routing and timing

The flight date can consist of only the month date, for example, 25NOV, in which case, it is assumed to be the next instance of that date, counting from the date on which the message is received. To avoid ambiguity, the month and year may also be included, for example, 25NOV15.

The service type is optional when creating a flight manually. However, it is a mandatory field in the ASM message and it is displayed in the created flight.

After processing the ASM, the flight can be viewed in the Flights tab of the Master Data > Flight Schedule screen. The flight record displays creation by System, and the date and time stamp, 2015-10-20 05:24, when the ASM was processed.

The created flight record can also be viewed in the Flight Export tab of Main > Booking screen.
