Entering IATA Tariff Rates

IATA Rates are usually uploaded in the system. Cargospot also provides the functionality for users to enter IATA rates manually. You can create IATA rate records in Pricing > IATA Tariff.

  1. Navigate to the IATA Tariff screen. You can do this by clicking Pricing > IATA Tariff.
  2. Click Add (Ins).
  3. Complete the mandatory fields.
    1. Enter the Origin and Destination where the rate applies. You can also enter the Origin Zone and Destination Zone if you want the rate to be applicable to a wider area.
    2. Enter the ISO three-letter Currency code used in the AWB.
    3. Select ULD or BULK from the drop-down menu.
    4. Define the effectivity period of the rate. The Eff. Date is the begin date of the effectivity of the IATA rate record. Optionally, you can also set the end date of the effectivity of the record by entering Term. Date. The dates are entered in DDMMMYYYY format. For example, 01APR2003.
  4. Optional: You can use the other available fields to further refine the rate. Most of the fields limit the rate so that the rate is only applicable in specific situations.
  5. Click OK.
The IATA rate is saved. The created rate is applied to shipments that satisfy the conditions specified in the rate.
Click the IATA Notes hyperlink to associate a note to a specific IATA rate. IATA notes define the conditions on how the rate will be applied to a shipment.
