Booking Screen

The Booking screen contains all relevant parameters for a particular air waybill. The information entered in this screen is used for transportation and accounting purposes. The Booking screen can be found in Main > Booking.

The Flight Leg table in the Booking screen displays the specific routing and flight details of the booking. Each row represents a flight leg. For example, MNL to SIN. Certain fields in the Flight Leg table are automatically populated. The flight leg details can be automatically taken from the Flight List table of the Availability tab.

Clicking the Flight # row automatically populates the Flight Export tab with flight details for a specific booking.

Table 1. Flight Leg Table Details
Field Description
Origin The airport of origin of the flight leg where the shipment is loaded. It is usually automatically populated upon clicking Add (Ins). For example, LHR.
Dest The airport destination of the flight leg where the shipment is offloaded from the aircraft. For example, JFK.
Carrier The carrier of the flight leg. For example, LH.
Flight # The flight number of the flight leg. For example, 3741 or 000 for RFS.
Flight Date The flight date of the flight leg. The flight date is usually in this format, 26MAR2003.
Alloc The allocation code for booking. For example, KK.
Allotment This field is dependent on the entered allocation code. For example, MRC7615164.
Weight The actual gross weight of the shipment for a specific flight leg.
Volume The actual volume of the shipment for a specific flight leg.

Depending on your system configuration, the following tabs are available in Cargospot.

Tab Description
Availability The Availability tab of the Booking screen provides a list of available flights for the shipment. The tab displays the details of a flight, such as capacity, booked and available weight/volume, allotments, and AWBs booked on each flight. You can also book against an allotment from the Availability tab.
Current Booking The Current Booking tab is used to make part-shipments. The tab displays the status of a shipment and also allows the creation of a booking.
Allotment The Allotment tab is used to create and monitor allotments, either to specific agents or internal company allotments.
Flight Export The Flight Export tab is used to view and edit all relevant flight information.
Note: All export actions are usually done from the relevant screen of the Handling module.
Load Advice The Load Advice tab is used to finalize the shipments booked on a flight. Depending on your system configuration, you can also send the Booking List (FBL message) to the handling agent using the Load Advice tab.
Images The Images tab is used to attach any image related to the AWB. When an image is attached in the Booking screen, the image will also be available in the Full AWB screen, and vice versa.
Booking List The Booking List tab is used to view the AWBs booked on a flight. You can also rebook more than one AWB on another flight using this tab.
Acceptance The Acceptance tab is used to capture the actual details of an AWB once it is accepted by the airline.
Rate Query The Rate Query tab is used to view the applicable Prices for the booking.
Query The Query tab is mainly used to expand the query of bookings and provides additional booking parameters, such as Flight Date, Origin Country and Dest. Country.
