Setting Default Queries

Advanced users can set default values for fields when querying. For example, in the Booking screen, you can set a default value for the AWB prefix or the REF so that those fields are automatically populated with the default value when querying booking records.

Default values can be set by administrators or by users with specific access rights.

  1. Navigate to the screen where you want to define default values for fields. For example, Main > Booking.
  2. To set the default value for creating new records, click Add (Ins) or press Insert.
  3. Enter the desired value in the field where you want to set the default value.
For example, enter 12345 in REF.

  4. With the cursor still on the active field, press CTRL + D or click Options > Advanced > Set Default Value.
The field is highlighted in yellow. This indicates that the default value has been set.

The default value is set. Whenever you query on the screen where you set the default field, that field is automatically populated with the default value. The default values are only applicable to the user who set the default value on the field and is only active for the current session.
