e-AWB Process in Cargospot
Processing e-AWBs in Cargospot depend on several validation rules.
- e-AWBs need to be transmitted into Cargospot via Freight Waybill (FWB) message.
- The agent of the shipment has signed the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) agreement with the Airline. This agreement is reflected in Cargospot on the Signed EDI Agreement check box in .
- The Origin Country and Destination Country of the shipment must have ratified the same international treaty, either the Montreal Convention (MC99) or the Montreal Protocol (MP4). The signed international treaty is reflected on the MP4 and MC99 check boxes in the Countries screen.
- The origin airport needs to be flagged as ready for export and the destination airport needs to be flagged as ready for import. The e-AWB readiness of an airport is reflected on the eAWB Ready field of the Airports screen.
When the listed conditions are met, the air waybill is processed in Cargospot as e-AWB. For these e-AWBs, the eAWB check box is selected. The eAWB check box is present in the Booking, Current Booking, Full AWB, and Acceptance screens.
Note: An RCS label in green () is displayed beside the selected eAWB check box
if:
- status update (FSU) consignment is received from the Shipper
- agent (RCS) message has been received
- the shipment has been accepted
Otherwise, a No RCS label in blue () is displayed beside the selected eAWB check box.
